Tracey D. Drummond, M.D. is a pediatrician and co-owner of East Scottsdale Medical Care, PLLC.
Dr. Drummond grew up in Texas and graduated from Dartmouth College in 1983 with a B.A. in Biochemistry. She received a Master’s degree in Biology from Southern Methodist University prior to attending medical school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. She completed internship and residency training at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix and served as Chief Resident during her third year. In 1992, Dr. Drummond joined Paradise Pediatrics and enjoyed her practice affiliation there. Given the unique opportunity to open a “dual solo practice” with her husband, she moved her practice to East Scottsdale Medical Care in 2007.
Dr. Drummond sees patients from newborns to 18 years old and enjoys watching the changing dynamics that occur between parents and children over the years. She is honored to participate in the lives of her patients and their families.
Although the focus of Dr. Drummond’s practice is office based care, she also evaluates newborns and attends pediatric patients admitted at Scottsdale Healthcare Shea. From time to time, Dr. Drummond also acts as a teaching attending for medical students and nurse practitioner students in the office.
In her free time, Dr. Drummond enjoys curling, hiking, scoring Diamondback baseball games, playing golf and cooking.
Julie is an alumni of Arizona State University, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005. Following graduation, she spent five years working in the Intensive Care Unit at Mayo Clinic Hospital as a clinical nurse. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner Certification at University of Phoenix. Julie remains active with University of Phoenix as a preceptor and mentor for NP students.
Julie is trained to see patients of all ages, and has a practice focus on health maintenance, illness prevention, and diabetes care and management. She is passionate about providing quality care and does her best to treat her patients as family. She is an active member and holds certification from the American Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Tracie graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina in 2009 with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and moved to Arizona where she worked as a telemetry nurse at John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital for five years. She then went on to work as a gastroenterology procedure nurse at North Valley Endoscopy Center. Tracie completed her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Phoenix in 2020.
Tracie is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is dedicated to health optimization and education to help patients improve the quality of their lives. She focuses on maximizing the benefits of preventive health care in all levels of health maintenance. She encourages her patients to take an active role in their health and strives to provide compassionate and therapeutic care for her patients through all stages of life.
Tracie and her family enjoy biking, hiking, practicing Pilates/barre, and playing board games during family game night. The importance of family is reflected in the care and interest Tracie takes in her patients and their well-being. She looks forward to treating you and enhancing your health and wellness.
